		<description>Hi David

Unfortunatly there is not much you can do to protect the base unit, one thing that is quite effective however is to make sure you place the unit in an area out of any intruders view.

If they cant see it, they probably wont hunt for it while its going off, they will instead make a sharp exit from your property which results in your protected home and still functioning base unit ;)

Hope this helps.

Cheers

<description>Just found your website today, seems to be one of the best I have come accross, thanks !

My question is regarding the Mace 80355, did you do your &quot;duribility test&quot; on this unit and if so how did it come out. You really got me to thinking when you said if someone breaks in they will either talke off and run or try and smash your base unit

Are there any precautions when setting up a base unit that would help the unit last longer under an attack?
