Well we are happy to be writing the first of our reviews for the site and what better way to start proceedings than to talk about the Protector Plus Alarm Review?  This system has a vast amount of features to say the very least and can be used anywhere in the home (or the office if your that way inclined!).  We found it very easy to set up and had it installed within the hour.

Once we were all set up, we had to do some testing to make sure everything was in working order.  Thankfully we knew everything was in place once we heard the loud alarm noise and blinking lights go off, even if we did get a little fright.  Not only do these wireless home security alarm systems frighten the living daylights out of anyone who dares to break in to your house, it also manages to call four telephone numbers that you can add during setup.  So once the alarm goes, each of the four locations will get a call, all that is up to you to do is to make sure that you or someone you know Is at one of those phones!

If you are new to security alarms like this one, instead of having the alarm set up to call four places that you may be, we recommended that you put your family’s number, your neighbour’s number, work number and your mobile phone.  That way if an attempted break-in was to happen, you can maximise the chances of someone finding out and calling the authorities.

You would be surprised the amount of times people actually put their own home number in there, quite frightening.

One of the best features of this model that we enjoyed the most during the Protector Plus alarm review was the ability it has to actually control the lights in your house, we all know how much of a deterrent it can be for any thief to see that there are lights on in a house they are thinking of breaking in to.  All this control is handled by you via remote control.

We were also impressed by the reliability of this home security alarm as each and every sensor on this wireless home security alarm system can (and should be) operated remotely.

Protector Plus Wireless Home Security Alarm System 1There are also minor features that any user may be interested in such as the ability the user has for the device to make a sound whenever there may be a security breach at your house.  For example, if the window was to open very slightly, the alarm will sound.  You can program this for doors too.

There were some issues that we had with this device however and we feel that it can certainly be improved upon.  Hopefully future versions of this model can incorporate some of our thoughts.

As we stated earlier, the ease on how you install this device is remarkable.  However, it can only be made easy by the fact we had a screwdriver handy.  If we were not to have one of these we would be slightly “screwed” (ahem).  If you don’t own a screwdriver, we urge you to get one for the installation as tape will not do.

Other points to improve are the fact that it should come with batteries, our delivery did not have a battery in sight so we had to buy some alkaline from the store around the corner from us.  We are glad to say that the battery life is great, still not needed to change anything and we have been testing this model for over 4 months.

Protector Plus Wireless Home Security Alarm System 2The documentation that comes with this alarm could also be improved upon.  We found we had difficulties understanding certain aspects of the sensors when we tried to register them with the device.  Thankfully this was sorted out quickly but this may be down to our own personal knowledge and experience coming in to play, someone newer to this type of thing may have gotten baffled by it.

If you are looking to purchase this device by Protector Plus then you can do a lot worse.  It is easy to customise and setup, delivers a very loud alarm sound, flexible options and can be controlled from remote locations.

Its not perfect however, and can be improved upon.  Our suggestions are only from our personal experience, we have unfortunately seen other consumer complain about other aspects.  Most notably the range of the device is causing an issue for some customers.  All we can say is we have gave our honest opinion of the product here and had no issues with the range.

When deciding on what security alarm system you should get for your house, it is easy to make a snap judgement and “just buy anything”.  We cant emphasise enough how important it is to take the time and read some product reviews, there are really some terrible home security devices out there and if you are the unlucky punter who ends up buying one, only you will be the one that is left with egg on their face.

We actually hope to review the not so great alarms too, just for consumer awareness more than anything.  We would also love to hear your thoughts on this system from Protector Plus, how have you found it?  You can air your opinions below; all comments will be accepted whether they are negative or positive.  Just make sure you don’t offend anyone ha-ha!

That rounds up our first ever product review we hope you enjoyed it.  If you have, you can subscribe to our feed.  That way whenever we review a wireless home security alarm system you will be notified by email straight away, save you coming back to the site again and again to see if there has been a new post.  Thanks and goodnight.  Oh we almost forgot, we give the Protector Plus alarm review a score of 8 out of 10.
